Baxter Heading To Europe

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 24, 2017 06:35 PM
Bafana Bafana head coach, Stuart Baxter, is expected to jet out to Europe this week following the completion of his latest Chan assignment over the weekend.

Baxter’s boys beat Botswana 3-0 on aggregate in the second round of Chan qualifiers, securing a spot in the third round against Zambia due to take place next month.

Now, with the Englishman having some time between now and Bafana’s next game, he will be flying out to Europe where he is likely to assess some of the players out there that are eligible to play for the South African national team.

South Africa has players playing all over Europe at this point in time following moves from Mzansi and due to them either being born here or having South African heritage, and SAFA have previously stated that they are looking to expand the talent pool available to their new head coach.

Bafana have have won five of Baxter’s seven games in charge up until this point, and he will be eager to try and keep their current four-game winning streak going when they come up against Chipolopolo next month.

It remains to be seen how long the 63-year-old will be in Europe, however he will be be back early next month as he continues his preparations for the next round of Chan games.

Baxter who you congratulates now is the same Baxter who first started to destroy Bafana a decade ago. Remember AFCON in Egypt and who first started to destroy Teko's aura when he played him position 10 instead to be at the middle playing like a mistro.
