Ratings:

Itumeleng Khune: 8/10

Apart from the goal conceded through Alan Traore's free-kick, Khune was impressive. He played a big role in two of Bafana's three goals and pulled off a couple vital saves in the second half.

Thamsanqa Mkhize: 8/10

The Cape Town City right back played a game of his life on his international debut. He was solid defensively, having made a couple timely challenges.

Sifiso Hlanti: 7/10

Hlanti was solid defensively and combined well with Percy Tau on his overlaps.

Morgan Gould: 7/10

Gould did not give anything away in this match. His tackles were well timed and he kept a good defensive shape.

Clayton Daniels: 7/10

Daniels complimented Gould well, their experience was evident in this match as they did well to frustrate Bertrand Traore.

Bongani Zungu: 7/10

Zungu's performance was marred by the unfortunate red card. Otherwise he played as a good pivot for Bafana, handing Kamohelo Mokotjo and Sibusiso Vilakazi freedom in the creative channels.

Kamohelo Mokotjo: 7.5/10

Mokotjo was the heartbeat of the Bafana midfield that raided the Stallions in the first half to score three goals.

Themba Zwane: 8/10

Zwane had a storming match, scoring a good goal and combining to good effect with his Sundowns teammates Tau and Vilakazi, who scored the other two goals.

Sibusiso Vilakazi: 7/10

Vilakazi put in an impressive showing on the day as he linked up well with the other attackers. His goal on the stroke of halftime sealed the match for Stuart Baxter's charges.

Andile Jali: 7.5/10

Jali was quietly brilliant in the number 10 role. His industrious play lifted the performance of Bafana, while he bagged the assist for Zwane's goal.

Percy Tau: 8/10

Tau's early goal set the tone for Bafana, a perfect scenario to dominating the match and winning a crucial match at home. The tricky midfield-cum-striker also picked up the assist for Vilakazi's goal,

Substitutes:

Hlompho Kekana: 5/10

Kekana stabilised the defence after coming on in the last ten minutes following Bongani Zungu's red card.

Did not play enough minutes to be rated.

Dino Ndlovu: NA

Did not play enough minutes to be rated.

The seems to be something very wrong with Burkina Faso, Lets not be fooled by the goals we scored or that we won the game, there is still a Mountain to climb and only the best can climb it.

@mnce1998 I agree with you, I don't see anything special about Tau, the only player I admire and plays good football in Themba Zwane the rest are typical average South African Players

My fear is that Bafana always lose the second half. If it was not about those early goals we could've been down and out.

@#sesplaas mphahlele got the flavor you can't take that away he ads alot both defensively n on attacking aspect that why mkhize will be in the bench when he returns remember mphahlele is consistency mkhize is on form so that's the difference between them..it's like your baroka.maritzberg n arrows that r on form which will soon come off n be replaced with consistance team like sundowns.cape town city n super sport United...#K4L

if just this foolish coach could have started with tau in am the games..In his 1st two games for the nation he scored then you find him on the bench..This coach is like kompela, undecided and confused.Mkhize also had one brilliant game..Time for Ramahle to remain on the bemch but I can guarantee you mhize will go to the bench as soon an Ramahle is back..This coach suck

This thing was like, Baroka vs Polokwane city and Baroka won. but this does not guarantee that they will do the same when they play Downs. so if you see two wins against Senegal then it will just like the PSG vs Barca scene. Only fools, won't see that the win is false. something wrong with Burkina Faso, can't put three central midfielders and end up not having the possession, even the build up on these goals was not significant.
