Bafana Bafana International To Don Number 10
A Bafana Bafana international will be donning the number 10 jersey at Cape Town City following the departure of Bhongolethu Jayiya.
City acquired the services of former KSC Lokeren winger, Ayanda Patosi, ahead of the July/August transfer window, where it was subsequently confirmed that the Mother City-based club will not be extending the services of 27-year-old Jayiya.
Jayiya’s contract with City came to an end on June 30, where it was mutually agreed that the player will move on with his career away from Head Coach Benni McCarthy’s side.
However, City acted quickly by bolstering their attacking department with Patosi and it has been revealed that the player will wear the famous number 10 shirt in the new 2017/18 season.
The number 10 jersey was previously worn by Jayiya, who went on to cement his name in City’s history books after scoring the club’s first ever goal and the fastest hat-trick.
Patosi will now link up alongside City’s already formidable attack with Lebogang Manyama, Aubrey Ngoma and Lehlohonolo Majoro.
