Man Utd Legends Thrash Ronaldinho & Barca Legends

Legends Report: FC Barcelona v Manchester United 30 June 2017

By SL International - Jun 30, 2017 09:00 PM

Legends Match

Result: FC Barcelona 1-3 Manchester United

Date: 30 June 2017

Venue: Camp Nou

The Manchester United legends proved too much for Ronaldinho and the FC Barcelona legends, as the Red Devils claimed a 3-1 win at the Camp Nou.

The Catalan giants had a few big names in their line up, having included the likes Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Edgar Davids and Gaizka Mendieta.

United broke the deadlock after 14 minutes courtesy of a close range finish from Jesper Blomqvist.

Barca carved out a couple chances of their own, but were unable to take advantage as they went into the break trailing by a lone goal.

However, it was the Red Devils who got the next goal as Karel Poborsky slotted home after well-worked passing move in the 57th minute.

The Catalan giants could have hit back in the 68th minute when Ronaldinho played in Rivaldo, but the latter fired inches wide from close range.

Barca were made to pay for that miss, as United bagged a third goal in the 77th minute as Dwight Yorke rifled the ball home from 20-yards out.

The Catalan giants managed to pull a goal back in stoppage time as Frederic Dehu fired home from inside the box, 1-3.

@Schweinstriker_31, Barça legends were playing just for the joy of it yesterday because they won more than enough in their careers compared to Manunited legends who were huffing and puffing for a win they never had against Barça in their lives shame. Did you see the goals Ronaldinho was scoring in-between their legs haha ?

@thandoz, financial income a team receives based on jersey sales changes each year depending on how well it is doing. Like the last time Chelsea won the league besides last season, they sold more jerseys than anyone else in England, including United. We have to admit that United benefits financially from the spotlight which is upon the entire EPL not just themselves because it's where the money is. Imagine if Barça was part of the EPL?, I'm sure they would easily dominate there from the pitch to the finances. But Barça has recently signed a deal with Nike which doubles the deal Manunited has with Adidas, including a shirt sponsor with Rakuten which would make Barça the richest club in the world again by the end of 2018.

For me, social media is a more valid way to determine "big" in terms of followers than all the fake news we've been fed all these years. We do admit that United will have an upper hand in former British Colonies which speak the Queen's language, including countries like China and the Phillipines where they've been touring throughout the years. But most of the countries which Manunited seem to get most of their support are filled with plastic fans who don't know much about the game let alone having passion for it. These are countries which took part in the World Cup only recently because they are not footballing nations historically. But based on the research which was done not so long ago, it was proven that Barça is the most popular team in countries which are footballing nations historically. It is the biggest club in terms of followers in all of Europe, the second biggest club only in UK after Manunited and the biggest club in Spain.

@Thandoz stop wasting time with this barca kids. They started supporting barca in modern era. Man Utd even in recent history without much success are still a powerhouse in terms of support and numbers that matter like kit sales etc. Facebook is for kids who just started football recently. Even a small club like PSG has huge Facebook following.

@thandoz, nah, you got it all wrong. Messi and Neymar have their own separate social sites that deals with their own personal business but Barça only deals with Barca on their sites. The last time I checked on social media Barcelona had 145 million followers, 1,45 billion interactions. Followed by Madrid with 141 million followers and 601 million interactions. With Mancherster United third with only 88 million followers and 522 million interactions. But the huge number of interactions Barça has indicate true followers with a passion for them compare to Madrid's plastic (fake) followers, and clearly shows that they are not only liking the team's social pages and sites without interacting with them on a daily basis.

@Eyesofaneagle, haha Franco's team count most of their glory in Spanish darkest days in history. As a Barça fan I will always challenge all the success they gained in Franco's era between 1939-1975 were they benefited in preferential treatment from his dictatorship. Without saying all the six champions leagues they won under his evil regime do not count but still....it's so long ago far away in dark ages....it's once upon a time tale. It's not fifa or the rest of the football world which will call into account all the bloody silverware they won under controversial circumstances....it will always be true Barça fans, the ones they love to hate.

@thandoz, United's greatness is overrated. Barça is bigger to United in every department. The number one ranking sports team on social media with the highest number of followers than any other throughout the sports world. It is even greater in terms of success. Recently SL published an article which declared Barça as the team which collected the most silverware to it's cabinet throughout Europe's history than any other in football world. It's only after the new millennium were emphasis began to be placed more on the league and the UCL in Europe even though there were many other trophies on offer in the past than that which Barça already put most in the bag. But even by considering only the league and the UCL we still far ahead of many teams including United. Barça is also the team which plays the most attractive brand of football than any other, with an exciting style inspired by the Catalan culture which Johan Cruyff only improved on in the early 90's with his own football philosophy of "total football". A legendary team rich with history of the world greatest legends ever in the game. From Johan Cruyff, Maradona, Hristo Stoichkov, Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Xavi, Iniesta, the list is endless but currently it is represented by the MSN. United is only Chippa United to Barça and that's not a joke, unless you've been brainwashed really good by the fake media.
