Here are some famous brother pairings who were both good enough to represent their national teams – including a former Premier Soccer League duo.

The Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan, are both sons of three-time CAF African Player of the Year Abedi Pele, and have represented their country 123 times between them. However, following Ghana's poor recent performances, both have been dropped from Kwesi Appiah's latest Black Stars squad.

They are not the only high-profile siblings who represented their countries, with Yaya and Kolo Toure being probably one of the most famous brother pairs in football. The Ivorians represented their country 215 times between them, according to Transfermarkt.

Christopher Katongo and his brother Felix both played in South Africa for Jomo Cosmos, and the former even returned for a spell with Golden Arrows and Bidvest Wits. Together, they represented Zambia 165 times.
