Spain secured their spot at the 2018 World Cup with a comfortable 3-0 win over Albania on Friday night.
Rodrigo fired La Furia Roja ahead in the 16th minute with a spectacular volley inside the box after coolly controlling a chipped pass from Isco on his chest, 1-0.
Isco quickly added the second goal for the 2010 World Cup champions in the 23rd minute with a clinical finish inside the box following an assist from Koke.
Three minutes later, Thiago Alcântara made it 3-0 with a close range header following a bombing run by right full-back Alvaro Odriozola who delivered a telling cross on the byline.
The Eagles needed the halftime respite to collect their breath after a raid by Julen Lopetegui's charges, who dominated the first stanza from start to finish.
The hosts continued their dominance ten minutes into the second half with Odriozola the main threat with his overlapping runs on the right wing.
Christian Panucci's troops produced their best spell in the match after 65 minutes, pinning La Roja back into their own box but their final pass often let them down.
Isco had a great opportunity to grab his second goal of the match in the 76th minute, but his right-footed shot from the edge of the box sailed over the bar.
With 10 minutes remaining, Lopetegui's troops were still head and shoulders above the visitors, who already seemed to have conceded defeat.
In the end the Spanish side saw out the result to book their spot at next year's showpiece.
