Despite Jose Mourinho claiming Zlatan Ibrahimovic won't be fit for the UEFA Champions League group stage, the Swede has now been included in Manchester United's official group stage squad, while Chelsea left out Diego Costa.

The 35-year-old is still recovering from a serious knee injury, and Mourinho had given United fans little hope of seeing him play before the turn of the year, despite re-signing for the club.

However, Ibrahimovic has now been included in United's official 24-man squad for the competition, as reported by ESPN, while 19-year-old Marcus Rashford appears on the so-called "B-list", which includes players younger than 20 who don't need to be named on the official list.

United will start their Champions League campaign against Basel on 12 September, before facing Benfica and CSKA Moscow.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's wantaway striker Diego Costa has not been included in Antonio Conte's official squad, despite appearing in the Blues' Premier League selection, which was announced over the weekend.

Liverpool's Nathaniel Clyne has been omitted from Jurgen Klopp's Champions League squad, which suggests his current injury is worse than first feared, while Tottenham Hotspur did not pick Vincent Janssen and Erik Lamela in their selection for the group stages.

I believe EPL has tough representatives this season after Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool made it in this year's UCL. I see 3 teams out of 5 advancing into last 8 those teams I think are Chelsea, Man United and Man City. All EPL teams cam make it into knock out stages, round of 16.
