Paris Saint-Germain Boss Explains Penalty Situation After Neymar-Edinson Cavani Row
Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery has revealed the latest on who will be taking penalties at Les Parisians, following Neymar and Edinson Cavani’s fallout.
Neymar and his fellow South American made headlines with their on-field disagreement recently, where they seemingly argued over who would be taking set-pieces.
Reports claimed they continued their spat after that particular game against Lyon, but Emery has insisted that both players will be given the chances to take penalties.
"Many of our players are capable (of taking penalties)," he said, according the Mirror.
"Many of them also want to. Edinson (Cavani) and Neymar are ready. There will be plenty of penalties and both will benefit from that.
"I have spoken with both of them. I have told them how things will work from here."
There has been rumours that PSG offered Cavani a €1 million (R15 million) bonus if he finishes as the club’s top scorer, but only if he agrees to hand spot-kicks over to Neymar.
