The 48-year-old is apparently unhappy with the level of the support he has been getting from Blues owner Roman Abramovich and senior executive Marina Granovskaia.
According to the Sunday Times, the former Italy boss is seriously considering resigning from the London club at the end of the campaign and is looking to return to Serie A.
Conte, who won the Premier League in his first season in charge, has criticised his board on numerous occasions for the lack of incoming transfers this season, and has also taken a lot of abuse for his handling of the Diego Costa saga.
The former Juventus coach was also heard saying on radio that he misses Italian football and vowed to return to it one day.
"I miss Italy, that's beyond doubt, so once I have had some significant and life-changing experiences, I will be back." Conte said on Radio 1, as quoted by The Sun.
Chelsea are currently in 4th place in the Premier League, and they are five points behind the leaders Manchester City.
