How Chelsea Could Line Up With Alvaro Morata & Company
Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea have been busy in the transfer window over the past couple of days. Here is how the team may line up with the likes of Alvaro Morata and others.
According to English publication the Daily Express, Antonio Conte is expected to keep his famous 3-4-3 formation which worked so well last year and which ultimately won them the 2016/17 EPL title.
Chelsea have made three signings already this season and it said that all the players will move straight into the club's starting XI for the upcoming campaign.
Belgium international Thibaut Courtois will be the man trusted with the gloves for this season. The 25-year-old has already won two league titles with the London club, and is hoping he can add another one to the collection.
It is being reported that David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta and Germany international Antonio Rudiger will be the three-man defence. Gary Cahill might find himself on the bench as a result, which might surprise a few.
In midfield, we might see the French duo of N'Golo Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko partnering each other in centre midfield, while Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso are set to keep their wing-back roles from last season.
Chelsea's front three will have a new face in it this season, as the club has just splashed out on former Real Madrid forward Morata. The Spaniard will replace Diego Costa at the top of the line-up and he is expected to be partnered with Eden Hazard and Pedro.
