Germany International Not Happy With Racism Punishment In Football

A Germany international defender has expressed his dissatisfaction about the way racism is handled in Serie A, and also revealed the times 'monkey' chants were aimed at him.

AS Roma star, Antonio Rudiger claims monkey charts have been aimed at him in the past, while Lazio midfielder Senad Lulic received a 20-day suspension for allegedly making racist remarks towards the German defender last season.

Ghanaian midfielder, Sulley Muntari walked off the field during a recent Serie A fixture, after alledged racial abuse from the supporters.

"I was subjected to monkey chants in a number of games and nothing happened," Rudiger said at a press conference ahead of Germany's Confederation Cup opener.

"I cannot understand the lack of action, you have to do something about it. The referee should let the stadium announcer know and ask him to give a warning. If they still continue after that, I would welcome it if a game was called off.

"This is 2017 and this kind of behaviour can no longer be happening. You see all the banners out there saying 'no to racism', yet nothing happens in Italy.

"It is easy to say we should stay calm when you do not have the same skin colour. They will never know how it feels.

"Strong action needs to be taken against racism."

I think Italy is the worst having seen Mario Balloteli being the first black skinned player to don their national colours. If he was not that better, he wouldn't. The pressure was on the manager & the football association's shoulders. Italians are pure racists.
