Reports: Neymar Still Angry With Edinson Cavani Over Penalty Row

By Kurt Buckerfield - Sep 26, 2017 09:00 AM @KurtLaduma

It is believed that Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar is still fuming with Edinson Cavani following his previous disagreement with the 30-year-old.

Cavani Talks About His Penalty Dispute With Neymar

In a bid to keep Neymar happy, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is said to have offered Cavani a €1 million (R15 million) goalscoring bonus, which he would earn if finishes at the club’s leading scorer, but the Uruguayan would also have to allow Neymar to take penalties as part of the deal – an offer that El Pais claims the forward has rejected.

It is now believed that Neymar has been told that his teammate refuses to budge, which was reportedly angered the Brazilian further.

The report states that the 25-year-old wants to take penalties and free-kicks whenever he wishes to, which might not be the case with Cavani in the side.

Reports: PSG Owner Offers Cavani €1M To Let Neymar Take Penalties

The Uruguayan has been standing over dead balls since Zlatan Ibrahimovic left the club last year, which helped him score 49 goals in 50 matches last season.

Do you think Neymar should show more respect to Cavani? Let us know in the comments section below.

PSG will rue the day they signed that arrogant boy. He does not regard other players as he would want in return. Cavani has been a rock solid force going forward for PSG since he was unveiled there, until Neymar Jr, the prodigal son, came in

A new book has detailed how a feud between Ruud van Nistelrooy and Cristiano Ronaldo was behind the Dutch striker leaving Manchester United in 2006. Former Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson’s friend Alastair Campbell has published a new batch of diaries that were recorded between 2005 and 2007, shining a light on Van Nistelrooy's mysterious exit from the club. Cavani will follow Van Nistelrooy.

I thought they clear this during contract negotiations. If not, it's unfortunate for Ney bcoz Cavani is performing very well at the moment. Ney should've asked Cavani nicely. Just like how Lukaku asked Zlatan for no 10, with respect.
