Reports: Lionel Messi Tells Friends FC Barcelona Have Agreement With This Star
FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly told close friends he believes the Catalan club has reached a verbal agreement with a Premier League playmaker.
With reports claiming that Neymar is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain, Barca are said to be targeting Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho as his replacement.
Jurgen Klopp has, however, insisted that the Brazilian is not for sale in this transfer window, although Diario Gol has claimed that Messi believes the club already has an agreement with the player.
The Argentine reportedly feels his club has done enough to convince Coutinho to move to the Catalan giants, who he has been heavily linked with in previous seasons.
It is believed that Barca would only be able to buy the Merseyside star with the money they would make on Neymar's reported sale to PSG.
Coutinho has emerged as one of Liverpool's best players in recent seasons, and a move to the Camp Nou would see him reunite with his former Reds teammate Luis Suarez.
The player has represented Liverpool on 181 occasions so far, scoring 42 goals and assisting a further 37 strikes.
