Real President On Why Ronaldo Is Unhappy

Real Madrid President On Why Cristiano Ronaldo Is Unhappy

By Kurt Buckerfield - Jun 21, 2017 09:00 AM @KurtLaduma

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has finally spoken about Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Los Blancos.

Reports: Why Barca Want Ronaldo To Stay At Real

Rumours that the Portuguese wants to leave the club came days after he was accused of tax fraud by the Spanish authorities, but Perez has insisted the superstar is not trying to manipulate Real into paying his possible fine.

The president also claimed that the only thing he knows Ronaldo to be unhappy about is the way he is treated by Spanish media.

"The clause for Cristiano is £1 billion (R14 billion). We have not had an offer for Cristiano... the Sheikh at PSG is a friend of mine and he hasn't called me nor have we talked," Perez told Onda Cero.

"This is all very strange. Cristiano is a good guy, I will have to talk with Cristiano and see what's happening. I will always defend Cristiano as a person and as a footballer. He's a very good person.

"Cristiano definitely didn't want us to pay his fine... he isn't like that. I'm sure that Cristiano meets all his tax requirements, it must be a confusion that will be cleared up.

"Cristiano is not angry about who has to pay his fine. The only thing I know is that Cristiano is very angry with the treatment he has received in the press."

Perez also revealed that he is yet to speak with the 32-year-old, who has a contract with the Spanish giants until 2021, since rumours of the player's desire to leave emerged late last week.

"All I can say is that Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract with Madrid," he continued.

"I have not spoken to Ronaldo, I have just heard what has been in the newspapers. The last time I spoke to Ronaldo was after the Cardiff match and we spoke about next season.

"He always told me he is at ease in Real Madrid. Ronaldo is in a major tournament with his country and until that is over I cannot talk to him."

Bayern Release Statement On Ronaldo Links

Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a move back to Manchester United, while clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are also said to be interested in his services.

This is simply a publicity stunt. How many times have we heard about cr7 not happy? Or Mou not happy?? Or Balotelli not happy?? This agent who manages these guys is really good at using the media for his player's purposes. Balotelli is total cow but he's rated amongst the best, cr7 who sucked the whole season but performed well in his last 3 months is tipped to win balon d'or. Fans today are no longer capable of judging a player's quality on their own, they need the media to make a fuss and then they fall for it.
