Real & CR7 The Reasons Behind Messi's Superb Form?

Real Madrid & Cristiano Ronaldo The Reasons Behind Lionel Messi's Superb Form?

By David Kappel - Sep 12, 2017 06:00 PM @kappilinho

With Lionel Messi having begun the new La Liga campaign with five goals in three games, could Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo be the reasons behind his superb form?

The Argentine hit the woodwork three times in FC Barcelona's 2017/18 La Liga opener against Real Betis, and has since added five goals in the past two league games.

His hat-trick against Espanyol on the weekend helped the Blaugrana open up a four-point gap on seventh-placed defending champions Real Madrid, who dropped points for a second week in a row.

Many expected Barcelona to struggle after Real beat them twice in the Spanish Super Cup, and following a poor transfer window that has been widely criticised by fans and experts.

However, Messi has once again stepped up and is leading his club to a good start into the season.

According to Diario Gol, the 30-year-old apparently finds motivation in messages coming out of the Los Blancos camp suggesting that the next the Ballon d'Or award is already wrapped up for Ronaldo and that the Madrid giants could win the sextuple this season.

The Portuguese superstar is the favourite to lift this year's Ballon d'Or as well as FIFA's The Best Men's Player accolade, which would take his Golden Ball collection to five and see him equal Messi's tally of the prestigious awards.

Real, meanwhile, have already lifted the Spanish Super Cup and the UEFA Super Cup this season, and will attempt to add the FIFA Club World Cup, the Copa del Rey, the La Liga title and UEFA Champions League trophy to their cabinet.

Messi, though, is determined to show the experts not to write him and Barcelona off just yet.

His early form suggests he is keen to stop Real from winning trophies, and prevent his side's bitter rivals from becoming the second team after Barcelona to claim six trophies in a season.

Is David Kappel under the payroll of CR7? The journo is always trying to elevate CR7 above Messi, e.g. "Ronaldo breaks Messi's record, Ronaldo's private jet is the most expensive, Ronaldo behind Messi's superb form, Ronaldo this, Ronaldo that ........." Your favouritism is so predictable

He can try what ever but will never be CR7, he is 1 team player and has lost spark outside spain's 2 team la liga, he failed to score against Juve's Buffon in 180mins, CRL took only 25mins to beat Buffon and 50mins to do it twice.

@Prince ngoepe according to Messi fans he is just another player in a team who plays his role (assisting I strikers) he is not a striker everyone has their role (when playing for Argentina) so don't say he has always (small teams or when opponent is down 1or2 players yes)he is failing dismally with Argentina cause it's not built for him like Barca
