Figo: Ronaldo Is Replaceable At Real

Luis Figo: Cristiano Ronaldo Is Replaceable At Real Madrid

By Kurt Buckerfield - Jun 25, 2017 03:01 PM @KurtLaduma

Former FC Barcelona and Real Madrid star Luis Figo has insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo, like any other player, is not bigger than Los Blancos.

Maradona Fires Back At 'Idiot' Alves

Ronaldo has been heavily linked with an exit from Real over the past few days, with reports suggesting a return to Manchester United could be on the cards.

Figo, who spent five years at the Santiago Bernabeu, believes nobody is greater than the team, but was quick to add that he expects Ronaldo to remain in Madrid.

"I hold the opinion that nobody is indispensable, not just Cristiano Ronaldo," he told Gol.

"Clubs can't depend on anybody. The history of these clubs is above everyone, even the president or whoever.

"A lot of things would have to happen for him to leave.

"It is a personal decision and if a person really wants something to happen then it will end up happening, but I see it as unlikely."

Reports: Real Accept R874m Offer For James

Ronaldo scored 42 goals in 46 games for Real last season, helping his side win the UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles.

You still smoking your underpants and yapping gab here is if you are gonna get paid for shouting the loudest about this SECOND FIDDLE COW. As we speak, he is a SECOND BEST after the obvious one. Claiming that there is no one like him as if that is some greatest thing to happen in this world. Even you, there is no one like you, me, sis-messi, ronaldo, Zuma, basson, hitler, the garden helper in my house.......every living human being out there. There is no one like him/her. Having no one like him means nothing other than that he is a living human being. As for him being the greatest.....it's a matter of your preference for as long as he can't distinguish himself with traceable and trackable achievements at an epitome level of this game. 1) World Cup, 2) Continental Nations' Cup, 3) UEFA CL, 4) Fifa Confed Cup, 5) Fifa World Club Cup, 6) Continental Champs Cup, 7) National League.......for any COW claiming greatness without showing their mantle at this level is more like parading hallucination gab.

sis-messi is way bigger than barCOW. Half of their achievements at the epitome level of club football is credited to him. Half of what BarCOWlona is, comes strictly from sis-messi's exploits. Hence a lot of barCOW jersey wearing idiots are more of sis-messi groupies than being barCOWlona supporters. At Royal Madrid....there will be greatness, prestige and glory with or without CR7....he knows that himself, that is why Perez have no time to worship him to stay at Los Blancos. At Madrid.....any player, I mean any player is replaceable. Even if we had the cloned shorty playing for us......he would be very much replaceable at Royal Madrid.

@hoji, to reach the same numbers as Messi and Cristiano won't be easy but it's not imposible. At the end of the day, when everybody is able to reach great numbers like they do, it's only through their special talents we can be able to separate them. No matter how close their numbers can be but a talent will always differ from the other in glory. So, talent related questions will always be asked....e.g how many dribbling goals they've scored since playing professional football e.t.c.

@tomato3s, hey tomato,,,, let's agree to disagree bhuti. In my humble opinion there is no one like Messi....he is irreplaceble. But with Cristiano,,,, you will always have a Mbappe, Harry Kane e.t.c who can do the same job under the same circumstances and the list is endless,,,, so that's how I see it.

@Emildo12, I agree 50% with you. If you are far away from the action on the pitch so that the names and numbers have disappeared, Messi will still be easy to spot. He doesn't blend-in he stands-out...there is no one like him. If you are one of the lucky ones to watch Messi with the ball at his feet or when he scores a goal in a flash live at the stadium,,,, you will know how magical and unreal it makes you feel.

@Mpho Poster, the only thing a young poacher as good as Mbappe cannot achieve like Cristiano is overhype,,,, and that could translate to fewer ballon'dors he can manage to win in a well oiled machine Madrid team.
