UEFA Super Cup
Teams: Real Madrid vs Manchester United
Date: 8 August 2017
Venue: Skopje, Macedonia
Jose Mourinho will become the first coach to manage three different teams in the Super Cup – he also did so with Chelsea in 2013 and FC Porto in 2003.
The English side will face an uphill task as the last Europa League winner to claim the Super Cup was Atletico Madrid in 2012, when they beat Champions League winners Chelsea 4-1.
A win for the Red Devils would see them becoming only the second English team to win the trophy multiple times, the first being Liverpool, who won it on three occasions.
History favours the Spanish teams in the prestigious fixture as they have gone on to win seven of the past eight editions.
FC Barcelona and AC Milan have lifted the cup on five occasions, while Los Blancos will be hoping to make this their fourth.
In team news, Mourinho's side will be without the likes of Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw due to injury, while Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are suspended for the clash.
Real Madrid go into the match with a clean bill of health, but Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to start from the bench.
Here's how they line up:
Real Madrid: Navas; Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo; Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Isco; Bale, Benzema.
Manchester United: De Gea; Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Darmian; Matic, Herrera, Pogba; Mkhitaryan, Lingard, Lukaku.
