Former Chile Boss Slams 'Fat' Sanchez

Former Chile Boss Slams 'Fat' Alexis Sanchez

By Keegan Kruger - Sep 04, 2017 11:02 AM @KeeganKruger

Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez has been slammed by a former Chile U20 coach for being "fatter than normal" after his poor display in his national team's 3-0 loss to Paraguay in a recent 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Verratti: Real Star Produced A Performance Better Than Any By Messi

The 28-year-old, who almost moved to Manchester City on deadline day, looked sluggish throughout the match, according to former national youth coach Jose Soluntay.

"I saw him gone, I saw him out of physical shape, totally. He's fatter than normal," he told La Cuarta.

"Without his spark, he never left that Paraguayan defence behind. He never made a diagonal run, it was something else. It was not Alexis.

"This can bring you problems later, the statements of wanting to leave (the national camp). His teammates must have felt nothing for him."

Reports: City Considering Legal Action Against Arsenal

Chile's World Cup qualification is not guaranteed just yet – they are currently in fourth place in the South American group.

Do you think Sanchez's unclear future had anything to do with his poor display against Paraguay? Have your say in the comments section below.

Pitso and his Technical team from the R35M healthy budget, you have missed a jam from this boy, Alexis Sanchez, he was going to answer all your striking search problems and take the club to another level. It is a pity that SK had a R5M budget, otherwise he was going to scoop him
