English Starlet To Play For Nigeria?

The Nigerian Football Federation are trying to persuade a U21 England international to represent the Super Eagles at senior level.

Swansea striker Tammy Abraham, who is on loan from Chelsea, has played for the Three Lions in three different age groups (U18, U19 and U21), and is eligible for Nigeria through his father's heritage.

NFF president Amaju Pinnick, apparently a friend of the forward’s dad, has confirmed that the African giants are working on getting the forward to honour a call-up.

"We are working on getting Abraham," Pinnick said, as quoted by FourFourTwo.

"Tammy is like my son. His father and I grew up in the same neighbourhood.

"So when they talk about him, I just laugh because I know what to do."

Nigeria are close to booking their plane ticket to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, as they lead their qualifying group.

Abraham scored his first Premier League goal for Swansea against Crystal Palace before the international break and then went onto score a goal against Latvia for the Young Lions.

Let Abraham decides himself. You allowed him to play for England junior teams, you are late and you gonna disturb this boy.
