Reports: Real Madrid To Target Premier League Star If They Lose Out On Kylian Mbappe
Spanish giants Real Madrid will reportedly turn their attention to a Premier League star should they fail to sign Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.
According to OK Diario, Los Blancos may target Chelsea winger Eden Hazard again should things not work out with Mbappe.
The Belgium international was heavily linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu a few months ago, but the speculation died down after he picked up an injury while on duty with his national team.
The 26-year-old is said to be recovering from a broken ankle, and is expected to miss the start of the upcoming season.
The injury has apparently not deterred Los Blancos by any means, with Hazard apparently being seen as an alternative to the young France striker.
Zinedine Zidane is said to be desperate from one marquee signing this season, with the club having sold Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez already in this window, while Real president Florentino Perez is apparently a big admirer of Hazard.
The Belgian made 43 appearances for the Blues last season, scoring 17 goals in all competitions.
