Reports: Real Madrid To Sell Superstar To Fund Move For Kylian Mbappe
Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly thinking of selling one of their superstars to fund a move for Monaco star Kylian Mbappe.
According to the Daily Express, Los Blancos may be willing to sell Wales international Gareth Bale.
The Welshman moved to Madrid for a fee of £85.3 million (R1.43 billion) four years ago, and is currently earning about £350 000 (R5.8 million) a week after tax.
The Spanish side is apparently toying with the idea of cashing in on Bale, who is expected to sell for about £100 million (R1.6 billion) in today's market.
The Madrid club is said to be desperate to sign Mbappe, but know they will need to offer his Ligue 1 team about £120 million (R2 billion) to secure his services.
Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City are also said to be keen on the 18-year-old striker, but Real are said to be the frontrunners for his signature.
The 2016/17 season was not Bale's best in a Los Blancos jersey as he struggled with injury, and some believe he has fallen behind Isco in the pecking order.
