Reports: Pep Guardiola Enters Chase For Real Madrid Star
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are reportedly keen on hijacking Chelsea's move for a Real Madrid star valued at R446 million.
The City boss is still working on improving his squad, particularly the fullback positions, and has now entered the chase for Danilo, according to The Times.
Chelsea and the Brazil right back have apparently already agreed personal terms, but the Blues still need to agree a fee with Los Blancos.
However, the Citizens are reportedly keen to hijack the deal from under the noses of their Premier League rivals.
Guardiola bought Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspur last week, making the player the most expensive defender in history in the process, but the Spanish tactician still needs more reinforcements at the back after letting Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy leave for free following the expiry of their contracts.
The former FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has already lured goalkeeper Ederson, Bernardo Silva and Walker to the Etihad Stadium, but seems keen to add more new faces to his squad.
