Reports: Pep Guardiola Enquires About FC Barcelona Star's Availability
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly enquired about the availability of an FC Barcelona star.
According to Onda Cera, the Citizens have apparently contacted the Blaugrana to ask about the availability of Spain international Sergio Busquets.
Guardiola is said to still be a huge fan of the Barcelona stalwart, who helped him win 14 trophies in his five years at the Camp Nou.
The Manchester club are looking to add another midfielder to their squad in this transfer window, having sold Brazilian Fernando to Galatasaray last week.
The former Bayern Munich boss is expected to have a real fight on his hand if he is to pursue the signing of Busquets, though, as he is an important part of the current Barcelona side, and they would not want to sell after already losing a key player in Neymar last week.
The 46-year-old manager was keen on landing the 29-year-old last season, but no deal materialised.
Busquets has made 432 appearances for the Blaugrana so far, scoring 12 goals along the way.
