Reports: Manchester United Agree Deal For African Star
Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal for an African star who cannot legally enter the United Kingdom just yet.
According to the Daily Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain right back Serge Aurier is on the verge of sealing a move to Old Trafford, but awaits a decision on whether or not he will be allowed into England.
The Ivorian is currently banned from entering the UK due to an assault conviction – he was found guilty of assaulting a police officer outside a Paris nightclub in September 2016.
The 24-year-old has appealed against the charges laid against him, and is waiting to hear if his travel restriction has been lifted as a result.
The travel ban saw Aurier miss PSG's 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates during the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League campaign, and it could see him miss out on a move to the Red Devils.
With it being said that the player is free to leave the French club this season, he has also been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan.
Aurier has made 81 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring five goals along the way.
Do you think Aurier would be good competition for Antonio Valencia for United? Have your say in the comments section below.
