Reports: Former Premier League Champions Lead Race For Pep Guardiola's African Striker
Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been the subject of interest from many clubs, but one Premier League outfit is reportedly in advanced talks to sign the Nigeria international.
The Super Eagles forward has found regular game time hard to come by since Pep Guardiola took over at the Etihad last season.
According to ESPN FC, Leicester City are in advanced talks to sign Iheanacho, for a fee believed to be in the region of £25 million (R431 million).
The Foxes' head coach, Craig Shakespeare, is believed to keen on bolstering his attack, and apparently sees the 20-year-old as a suitable partner for Jamie Vardy.
Despite being earmarked for an exit, Guardiola has reportedly added Iheanacho to his pre-season plans.
Overall, the Nigerian attacker has made 64 appearances for the Citizens, scoring 21 goals in the process.
