According to English publication The Sun, the Stamford Bridge club is hoping to tie up deals for Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, Roma defender Antonio Rudiger and Juventus fullback Alex Sandro.

The Blues are set to pay about £35 million (R598 million) for the France midfielder, £30 million (R512 million) for the Germany international and £60 million (R1 billion) for the Brazilian.

The London club will be hoping to mount a title defence in the upcoming season, and apparently feel they need lots of depth in their squad, especially as they will have European competition to look forward to.

If Antonio Conte lands Sandro at the reported price, the 26-year-old will become the club's most expensive player ever, replacing Fernando Torres.

Chelsea's transfer spending is not expected to end with the three abovementioned players, however – they are also heavily linked with their former star Romelu Lukaku, who is expected to cost them about £75 million (R1.2 billion) if he joins from Everton.

Do you think Chelsea will be able to land all four of these signings ahead of the new season? Have your say in the comments section below.
