Reports: Alexis Sanchez Devastated At Failed City Move
Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez is reportedly heartbroken that he is not a Manchester City player.
According to ESPN, the Chilean is unhappy that he did not sign for Pep Guardiola's City, who he has been linked with since May.
The report claimed Sanchez is furious with the way Arsenal handled his efforts to leave the club, with the player having reportedly handed in an official transfer request days before the deadline.
It is believed the Gunners were only willing to sell the Chilean if they could sign a replacement in time, with Monaco's Thomas Lemar rumoured to be that man.
However, Arsenal did not feel they had enough time to agree a deal with the France international, with other reports also claiming that Lemar preferred to join Liverpool over Arsene Wenger's side.
Sanchez played for Chile in their 3-0 loss to Paraguay in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday morning.
The attacker's contract at Arsenal expires at the end of the current campaign, making it likely he could leave for free.
