Report: Real Madrid Agree World Record Deal For Next 'Galactico'

Real Madrid have reportedly agree to a "deal in principle", said to be worth €180 million (R2.73 billion), for their next "Galactico" signing.

Los Blancos, who have already sold Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez and Danilo in this transfer window, have come to an agreement with Monaco for the sale of Kylian Mbappe, according to Marca.

The 18-year-old will apparently cost €160 million (R2.4 billion), plus another €20 million (R303 million) in add-ons, which would break the current world record deal held by Paul Pogba, who joined Manchester United for €105 million (R1.6 billion) last year.

Mbappe will apparently sign a six-year contract with Los Blancos, and is set to earn €7 million (R106 million) after tax annually in Madrid.

The Monaco starlet impressed with 26 goals and 14 assists in all competitions last season, and will apparently only leave the French side for Los Blancos.

Mbappe is said to have had numerous phone conversations with Real boss Zinedine Zidane, who convinced him to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain were reportedly also interested in the player, which led to Real's decision to seal the deal as quickly as possible.

too much for young star, They should have sold him for maybe 80 Million Ueros and include a clause that if he score so many goals dey get bonus, Wat if he does not leave upto expectation, This is a serious risk

Welcome Mbappe, what a signing......futuristic and strategic replacement informed move. He is only 18 but his game is at this level (where is the better for him to prove himself other than the UEFA CL.....he has done that). He is a perfect replacement for the now aging Benzema.....Morata was, but because the age caught up with him, he was never patient and had already geared his mind on leaving us. Then we couldn't force him to stay (we rather have no players than keeping unhappy players in our squard). As for this boy, it can never be better signing than him. We are just short of James replacement, especially that Bale is injury prone. We need to add a varsitile attacking player who can operate in either wings or just behind the strikers. Player like Ozil or de Maria.. lets wait and see.

PPL are concerned with "waste of money" as if they are the executives of Real Madrid. Good ppl, you are responsible for the club's balance sheet. So don't stress....this team has never went bankrupt in its entire history of making record-braking signings year after year. We are the FOOTBALLING INSTITUTION OF THE CENTURY for doing our business this way. From the likes of Blanco - Figo - Zidane - Ronaldo - CR7 - Bale, to us its a norm and we care less about price-tags, we need players to continue assemble an invincible squard.
