Report: Manchester United Would Go For Gareth Bale, If…
Manchester United could still make a serious attempt to sign Real Madrid record signing Gareth Bale if this happens before the window closes.

The Welshman is currently happy at Los Blancos, but ESPN have claimed he would be prepared to leave if he became surplus to requirements at the club.
Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is apparently keen to make 18-year-old wonderkid Kylian Mbappe his latest "Galactico" signing, and could reportedly be prepared to sell Bale, who would likely become the club's new record sale as a result.
United are monitoring the situation and could to attempt to sign Bale if Real indicate that he is available. If Mbappe arrives at the Santiago Bernabeu, Zinedine Zidane would need to decide, between Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Bale, Marco Asensio, Isco and the Frenchman, who makes his starting XI.
Earlier this week, United boss Jose Mourinho joked with the 28-year-old, saying, "I couldn't buy you because you didn't speak out," when the duo met in the tunnel before their teams clashed at the International Champions Cup.
Mourinho is still looking for a new winger before the window closes and Bale would fit the profile, while reports suggest that negotiations with Inter Milan over Ivan Perisic have stalled.
Zidane, meanwhile, has insisted he is hoping all three of his main forwards – Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale – will stay, but admitted he can never be sure until the window closes.
"I hope the 'BBC' stay for this season. I hope everyone remains. I want everyone who is here now to stay... but anything can happen right up until 31 August," he said, as quoted by AS.
Bale has scored 67 goals and assisted another 51 strikes in 150 games since joining Real for a then world record fee of €101 million (R1.5 billion) in 2013.
