Pep Talks Sanchez Links & Aguero's Future

Pep Guardiola Talks Alexis Sanchez Links & Sergio Aguero's Future

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has commented on his side's links with Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez, and also spoke about Sergio Aguero's future at the Citizens.

Two Chelsea Stars On Verge Of Blues Exit?

The Chilean forward has been linked with a move away from the Emirates club, and many have tipped him to join his former manager in Manchester. Aguero could be forced out of the club in order to get regular game time as a result.

Speaking ahead of his team's International Champions Cup meeting with rivals Manchester United, Guardiola talked down his interest in Sanchez, telling members of the media that his Argentine striker is going nowhere.

"Alexis plays for Arsenal, so Arsene said that (Sanchez will stay). He knows more than me," the Catalan said, as quoted by FourFourTwo.

"We have two really good strikers in Sergio and Gabriel so, in those terms, we are good. It's not about a striker.

"The problem was, last season, Gabriel was out for a long time and we would like to see both of them together."

With Aguero said to have caught the eye of Chelsea this week, Guardiola was asked if the striker still had a major role to play for the Citizens.

"You know my opinion about Sergio," he answered.

"I said many times last season and I have not changed a word of what I said.

"He is our player and he will remain here."

Reports: Agent Offers Arsenal Star To Real

The 29-year-old Argentine has made 253 appearances for the Citizens since joining them in 2011, scoring 169 goals along the way.
