The French giants have ended their transfer tussle with the Catalan giants, and announced the signing of the Brazilian after paying his massive €222 million (R3.46 billion) release clause.

Neymar joins PSG on a five-year deal, replacing Paul Pogba as most expensive player in football history in the process.

“It is with immense joy and pride that we welcome Neymar Jr to Paris Saint-Germain, PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President told the club's official website.

"Neymar Jr is today one of the very best players in world football. His winning mentality, strength of character and sense of leadership have made him into a great player. He will bring a very positive energy to this club. In six years, we have built a very ambitious project that has already taken us to the highest level of national and European football. Today, with the arrival of Neymar Jr, I am convinced that we will come even closer, with the support of our faithful fans, to realizing our greatest dreams.”The 25-year-old will apparently earn an annual salary of €30 million (R468 million), after deductions, with the French giants, effectively becoming the best paid footballer in Europe.

Neymar leaves Barcelona after three years at the Camp Nou, having scored 105 goals and assisted another 80 strikes in 186 appearances for the club.

He lifted nine trophies during his stint at the Blaugrana, and will hope to add more to his trophy cabinet in France.

I said it before, I am still saying now.....for Neymar to leave barCOWs with their idol sis-messi and THE FOOTBALLING INSTITUTION OF THE CENTURY with their CR7 is the best thing for football. Possibility is that in 2017/18 UEFA CL in the last 16 there will be Real Madrid, Juventus, B. Munich, barCOWlona, PSG, Man United, A. Madrid, Man City, Chelsea, B. Dortmund, Napoli, Monaco, Spurs, Inter Milan.........hoping AC Milan (do rise again)......then the rest. In the Quarter Finals being R. Madrid, A. Madrid, barCOWlona, PSG, B. Munich, Man City, Chelsea, B. Dortmund. This will guarantee CR7 vs Griezman vs Neymar vs sis-messi vs James vs Abuameyang vs Morata. As for Neymar price tags, honestly that has nothing to do with the athleticism and sporting aspect of football, its all about money (matters of Capital Mechanics VS Class Disparities). As for barCOW hearts, they can go and sulk.......who cares, players come and go (with Neymar is the same), if they are a real "team" they need to show life beyond Neymar, Messi and the rest. Lastly as for Mbappe, sorry barCOW idiots, he has made his mind.......he is to the REAL DEAL to replace the soon to be retiring Benzema than to be following sis-messi's tail.

He's just tired of playing under the shadow of Messi...., hopefully now he'll shine and be able to challenge for the Ballon d'or. With that said, R3.4b for a single player is insane though, something tells me it's not just PSG who bought him, Lig 1 also landed some hand.

Football has gone Mad,the oil money has won.I wonder when is this fanacial fair play is put into gd use or its just a useless term.bt this is embarrassing for barca n Laliga one of their poster boys living spain in his prime. As a barca Fan this is a huge blow n it will be hard replacing him coz there are very few players with the ability of Neymar..and I wonder if barca did enaf to block neymar move, once they renewed Messi contract n made him the best paid player, tripling neymar salary that was not fair cz currently theres not much deference btn messi n Neymar..Neymar could have won the ballon d'Or while playin for barca, considering next yr its the world cup yr n I blv Brazil will win it , so that would be neymar chance. So football wise not a gud decision, bt Finacially makes sence..I just hope he's not goin to Madrid via PSG.Now barca must think very hard abt the replacement. Firstly they must buy Cotinho not as Neymar replacement bt as creative spark in MD that has been lacking for barca.having Cotinho busquest and Iniesta in MD wod b nice. then buy a forward to replace Neymar. MBAPPE, Hazard or Degrezzmann, on Dembele they will b takin a chance I don't think he has enaf goals in him.
