Official: Paris Saint-Germain Beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City To Dani Alves
Pep Guardiola seemed destined to reunite with Dani Alves, but the Brazil right-back has now been officially unveiled by Paris Saint-Germain.
The 34-year-old had ended his contract with Italian giants Juventus by mutual consent and had been heavily linked with a reunion with his former FC Barcelona coach at Manchester City.
However, PSG have won the race for the full-back and announced his transfer on Wednesday.
Alves joins the French giants on a two-deal and he becomes the fourth Brazilian at the club – the others being: Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Lucas Moura.
The Selecao international has lifted 34 trophies in his senior career so far (24 for Barca, five with Sevilla, three with Brazil and two with Juventus), and will hope to add more silverware to his cabinet in Paris.
