Manchester United Bid R1bn For FC Barcelona & Real Madrid Target
Transfer news is heating up and that latest reports suggest Manchester United have bid a whopping R1 billion for an FC Barcelona and Real Madrid target.
Jose Mourinho is still looking to bring in new faces at United, and Globo Esporte have now claimed he wants to add another defender after already signing Victor Lindelof.
The report suggested that United have submitted a £62 million (R1 billion) offer for Paris Saint-Germain centre back Marquinhos.
The Brazilian is considered to be one of the best defenders of his generation, and is only 23 years old.
However, if the Red Devils really want to land him, they will have to fend off interest from FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, who are both said to be monitoring his situation.
Marquinhos' contract with Les Parisiens only expires in June 2019, and the report claimed he is unlikely to leave the French giants this year.
The Selecao star joined PSG from Roma for a fee of €31.4 million (R453 million) in 2013, and has since made 161 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants.
