Jose Mourinho Wants Real Madrid Star As Part Of Swap Deal
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly prepared to go to war with his former club Real Madrid as he wants this Los Blancos star to be included in any potential deal for goalkeeper David de Gea.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Spanish giants have angered United by reigniting their interest in their shot-stopper. As a consequence, the Red Devils have apparently insisted a deal for the Spaniard will only happen if Real include Toni Kroos in the transaction.
Mourinho is reportedly a huge fan of the German 2014 FIFA World Cup winner, and believes he would link up well with Paul Pogba in the Old Trafford club's midfield. Madrid, though, are reluctant to let go of Kroos, while United are playing hardball over De Gea.
The Daily Mirror claimed that insiders believe it is now only a question of when De Gea will return to Madrid, but at the moment he seems content to stay in England.
United want at least £60 million (R1 billion) for the goalkeeper unless Kroos is included in the deal.
The Red Devils and Los Blancos will meet during their pre-season tour of the United States on Sunday, before facing each other in the UEFA Super Cup on 8 August.
