Costa previous expressed his desire to leave the Club in the transfer window, and only wanted to join Atletico Madrid.

However, the Spanish transfer window closed on Friday and Atletico failed to get the Spain international's signature.

Despite Costa ignoring Chelsea's request return to the club, the Blues have named in the squad as they look to retain the Premier League title.

Meanwhile, the Blues confirmed that French striker Loice Remy has joined Las Palmas on a permanent deal.
