Revealed: Mesut Ozil Wanted By Shock Club
Arsenal superstar Mesut Ozil, who has been criticised heavily in recent months, is wanted by a surprise club in Europe.
The German's contract with the Gunners expires at the end of the season, and there have been reports that he might not renew his stay at the London club.
Ozil has been linked with Manchester United, among other clubs, but Inter Milan chairman Erick Thohir has admitted the playmaker is on their radar for the January transfer window.
"Ozil is definitely one of those players we are looking at," he said, according to the Daily Star.
"But the last January signings of Podolski and Shaqiri proves winter signings can fail to live up to expectations."
Inter would have to pay a sizeable fee if they are to lure Ozil away from Arsenal in January, but would be able to offer him a contract if they are willing to wait until the end of the campaign to sign the player.
Ozil has featured just five times for the Gunners this season, and is yet to contribute to a goal or assist.
