Reports: Romelu Lukaku Interview Angers Manchester United Bosses
Manchester United were reportedly angered after new signing Romelu Lukaku did an interview with a United States television channel.
The Belgian was believed to have done a recent interview with ESPN FC, a US TV channel, where he talked about his transfer to the Red Devils before the club’s official announcement.
According to the Daily Star, United’s bosses were said to be disappointed that Lukaku did not do his first interview with them, as is the usual procedure.
On Saturday, United announced they had reached an agreement with the 24-year-old, but the transfer was only officially confirmed by the club on Monday evening.
The club wanted the player’s first words about his move to be released on their website, but as we have seen, they were second to get his interview.
Lukaku has officially joined United’s training camp in Los Angeles, ahead of the side’s pre-season friendlies.
