Reports: Manchester United Seal R473m Deal For African Star
Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly agreed a £27 million (R473 million) deal for an African star.
According to the Daily Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain have accepted an offer from the Red Devils for Ivory Coast international Serge Aurier.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the player had already agreed personal terms with the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League champions.
There is one hurdle holding the deal up, though: Aurier is currently banned from entering the United Kingdom as he has an assault conviction hanging over his head.
The Ivorian assaulted a police officer outside a Paris nightclub last year, and has since appealed the charges that were laid before him.
The right back is now waiting to find out if his appeal is successful, and if it is, he would then be free to make the move to the English top flight.
The 24-year-old will apparently earn around £95 000 (R1.66 million) a week at Old Trafford, and is expected to provide cover for Antonio Valencia, who is now 31 years old.
