Reports: Manchester United Chief Misses US Tour To Work On Two New Deals
Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has remained in England to try and seal two more deals for the Old Trafford club.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils are trying to land Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic and Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier.
Jose Mourinho is hoping that Woodward and his team are able to seal the two deals in the next week so that he can start working with them as soon as possible.
The Serie A club apparently wants £50 million (R869 million) for their Croatian superstar, but it is said that the English giants are only willing to pay £45 million (R782 million).
Perisic is said to be very keen on joining the Red Devils and is hoping that his club will comprise a little to allow him to make the move.
The other deal that the English side wants to see completed is the transfer for England international Dier. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has caught the eye of many clubs over the past 12 months and it is said that Mourinho is a big fan of his.
The Spurs star is seen as Michael Carrick’s perfect replacement and is expected to cost the Old Trafford side around £50 million (R869 million).
