Pep Guardiola Wants To Reunite With FC Barcelona Superstar?
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly considering a move for one of the superstars he managed at FC Barcelona.
Midfielder Andres Iniesta recently admitted he is uncertain about his future at the Catalan club – a feeling he said he could not imagine three years ago.
Iniesta's current deal with the club expires at the end of next season, and according to The Sun, Guardiola is monitoring the Spaniard's situation.
The midfielder was arguably in his prime under the Spanish tactician at Barca, scoring 23 goals and assisting a further 53 strikes in 182 matches under the manager.
The 33-year-old is widely considered as one of the best players of his generation, and has represented only Barcelona at professional level.
The report claimed that Guardiola could look to lure the veteran player to City next season if Iniesta does decide to move on from the Blaugrana.
Iniesta has played 625 matches for the Catalan giants since breaking into the senior team in 2002, winning 28 trophies along the way.
