Mesut Ozil Nearing Shock Move To Premier League Rivals?
Germany superstar Mesut Ozil could reportedly be nearing a move to one of Arsenal's biggest rivals.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner is yet to extend his contract with the Gunners, with there being reports he is demanding wages that would make him the highest paid midfielder in the Premier League.
According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are said to be willing to cash in on the playmaker in January, with several clubs said to be interested in the player.
Inter Milan president Erick Thohir recently admitted that Ozil is on their wish list, while the 28-year-old is still said to be on Jose Mourinho's radar at Manchester United.
Ozil could be tempted to remain in the Premier League, and could be lured to United due to his previous affiliation with Mourinho, whom he worked with at Real Madrid.
It is believed that there have been no official offers for the former Los Blancos man, but if he does not sign a new contract before January, he will be allowed to enter into negotiations with any club.
Ozil has appeared just five times for the Gunners this season, playing just 367 minutes of football.
