Manchester United were in a rampant mood, as they thumped Everton 4-0 on Wayne Rooney's return to Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
Antonio Valencia got Jose Mourinho's charges to a flying start hitting a fantastic right footed screamer from just outside the box in the fourth minute, making it 1-0.
Wayne Rooney had a chance in the 20th minute to bring the Toffees level but his sliding shot from just inside the box missed narrowly wide.
After half-an-hour the match was open with both sides carving out chances at either end of the pitch.
Romelu Lukalu's low shot was repelled by goalkeeper Jordan Pickford after going clear one-on-one with the shot-stopper in the 39th minute.
The match went into the halftime break with the Red Devils ahead courtesy of Valencia's early strike.
Rooney forced a save out of Pickford three minutes into the second-half after finding himself with space inside the small box from a tight angle.
After the hour-mark the Red Devils were dictating play with Lukaku coming close on a couple of occasions.

Ronald Koeman's troops had a good spell up to the 76th minute pressing the hosts with high intensity.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan made it 2-0 in the 82nd minute after a clever through ball from Lukaku put him through on the left side of the box, placing a right footed shot past Pickford.
Lukaku sealed the match as a contest two minutes before full-time after poking home from close inside the small box following the pressure from the hosts, 3-0.
Anthony Martial added salt into the would scoring the fourth goal for United from the penalty spot in added time.
