Lewandowski & Robben Run Riot As Bayern Crush Mainz

Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben both bagged braces as Bayern Munich thumped Mainz 4-0 at the Allianz Arena.
The Bavarians started brightly in the half, putting pressure on the visitors early on.
It did not long for the hosts to find the back of the net as Thomas Muller's shot was deflected into the net off Robben in the 11th minute.
Robben extended the lead in the 23rd minute lobbing goalkeeper Rene Adler brilliantly with a right footed lob following an assist from Joshua Kimmich, 2-0.
The Bavarians were oozing with confidence after 35 minutes with Robben and Kimmich combining to good effect, threatening to score yet another goal.
Muller had a chance to make it 3-0 in the 42nd minute but his right footed shot from inside the edge of the box was parried away by Adler.
Robert Lewandowski did make it 3-0 five minutes into the second half with a simple finish at close range in the middle of the goals following a good delivery from Muller.
Ancelotti brought on Franck Ribery for Robben in the 65th minute, looking for fresh legs to make further attacks.
The substitute Ribery made an immediate impact as in the 76th minute he combined brilliantly with Lewandowski on the edge of the box to unleash a right footed curling shot but his effort missed slightly wide.
Lewandowski added the fourth goal in the 77th minute after peeling away from his marker to head home Kimmich's cross inside the area, 4-0.
Ancelotti's charges continued to attack with purpose in the closing stages, but 4-0 was how the match ended.
