The former AC Milan and Real Madrid boss was relieved of his duties as Bayern manager on Thursday afternoon following their 3-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
Prior to that match, there were murmurs that several players in the squad were becoming impatient with the manager, and the club's president has now confirmed those suspicions.
"There were five players against Ancelotti," he told Dutch publication Westfalenpost.
"It was impossible to get out of that."
While the identities of the five players in question remain unknown, Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben, Robert Lewandowski and Franck Ribery are believed to have clashed with the manager in recent months, with Muller boldly claiming that he might not be an Ancelotti type of player. Who the fifth player could be remains a mystery.
Bayern are currently third in the Bundesliga, three points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.
