Oscarine Masuluke scored a brilliant bicycle kick when his team was trailing 1-0 to Orlando Pirates on 30 November in 2016 to equalize the score when joining his teammates for the final corner kick of the match.

At the time, the goal made the rounds all over the world and it has now been selected among the 10 contenders for the Goal of the Season.

The Baroka goalkeeper will be up against Olivier Giroud, who scored a brilliant flick against Crystal Palace on 1 January 2017, as well as Nemanja Matic's wonder strike for Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur and Mario Mandzukic's overhead kick in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid, among others.

Here are all 10 nominees:

Oscarine Masuluke (Baroka FC)

Olivier Giroud (Arsenal)

Mario Mandzukic (Juventus)

Nemanja Matic (Chelsea)

Kevin-Prince Boateng (Las Palmas)

Alejandro Camargo (Universidad de Concepcion)

Deyna Castellanos (Venezuela U17)

Moussa Dembele (Celtic)

Aviles Hurtado (Tijuana Xolos)

Jordi Mboula (FC Barcelona U-19)

A panel of goalscoring experts, including Henrik Larsson, Celia Sasic, Alan Shearer, Pedrag Mijatovic and Abby Wambach selected the shortlist, which is now open for votes.

On 9 October, the list will be cut down to three contenders before a second round of voting will open and only close on the day of the FIFA awards on 23 October.

Do you think Masuluke's goal stands a chance to lift the Puskas award this year? Have your say in the comments section below.

@Mydowns Chiefs fans have numbers, players are internationally known, and the club represents an international brand. Baroka is an unknown factor, and besides, you cannot compare Shaba with Oscarine who does not even own a tricycle

Now wonder we are lying 80th position on Fifa rankings. Our football is jealous, you have to play for certain teams in order to get accolades. Where is Tshabalala's goal now? We were here in this page trying to voice or choose the best goal but fortune favours the undeservedly one. Tshabalala must bring back Oscarine's ward back.

Mamelodi Sundowns right-back Thapelo Morena feels Wydad Casablanca will be more aggressive in their CAF Champions League quarterfinal rematch, compared to the first leg. READ: Downs endure Wydad gamesmanship Wydad were happy to let Sundowns have all the possession at Lucas Moripe Stadium last Sunday as they lost 1-0 in Tshwane. READ: Arendse hopes for early goals They now host the African champions at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Saturday, knowing that they have a good record on home soil in this year’s Champions League. Wydad have not lost at home, scoring six goals to go with the impressive record of not conceding at all in the four matches played in their backyard. Morena, however, believes they have enough pace in their side to unsettle their opponents. “At home they might be more aggressive than they were in the first leg. We’ve seen their games, but we are prepared to fight,” Morena tells indidane. “Yes, we have a lot of pace and every game has its structure. We are going to hear from the coach how we are going to approach the game and we can take it from there. “We have one goal – to go there and do our best. If we can, we can score two goals. The most important thing is to qualify for the semi-final.” Morena could be played at right wing, while Anele Ngcongca slots in at right-back because coach Pitso Mosimane wants to use the former Genk player’s experience in defence to deny Wydad a goal at home for the first time in the competition this year.
