Portugal reached the Confederations Cup semi-final as winners of Group A after beating New Zealand (4-0) and Russia (1-0), and drawing 2-2 with Mexico, while Chile won only one game in Group B.
The South Americans finished second in Group B behind Germany after beating Cameroon (2-0), and drawing 1-1 with both Germany and Australia.
Portugal enter the game in fine form, having won four of their past five games, all without conceding, while Ronaldo picked up the Man of the Match award in each of his team's three group stage games.
