Wits have signed Niger international defender Koffi Dan Kowa, as coach Gavin Hunt adds depth to his squad for the 2013/14 season.

The player impressed the technical team during his trial with the side, with Kowa having now penned a three-year deal with The Students.

Kowa’s signing was confirmed to Soccer-Laduma by the club’s Chief Executive Officer, Jose Ferreira.

The Braamfontein side has already signed a few defenders this season, including Matthew Booth and Musa Bilankulu.

Still with Wits, Hunt is still assessing former Kaizer Chiefs left back Onismor Bhasera. Hunt has been looking for another left back, following the departure of James Mayinga from the side.

Wits general manager, George Mogotsi, confirmed to the Siya crew that the Zimbabwean is looking good at training.

“Bhasera is still training with the team. He is fine,” explained Mogotsi.
