Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi has added to the list of players on trial at Moroka Swallows.

Tsotetsi last played in the PSL while on the books Vasco Da Gama during the 2010/11 season, and is now looking to land a new deal in South Africa’s top tier of football.

The 30-year-old was hoping to secure a move overseas, however his attempts were in vain. He had a stint with Mpumalanga Black Aces during the 2011/12 season.

The Boipatong-born defender joins Siphiwe Mkhonza at the Dube Birds, training with the first team under the watchful eye of coach Zeca Marques. The two players are being considered to bolster the side’s defence.

Swallows have already lost out on Thapelo Tshilo, after offering him a trial. The former Mamelodi Sundowns defender has signed with Wits after training with Birds.

Marques is expected to make his decision on the two players before the re-start of the league in February. The club is yet to make any signings in the current transfer window.
