Shabalala Eyeing PSL Move

By Soccer-Laduma - Feb 07, 2013 11:24 AM

Jomo Cosmos defender Themba Shabalala is eyeing a move away from the side, with the hope of furthering his career in the PSL.

The 25-year-old is currently with the Jomo Sono-coached side in the National First Division, however is wanting to continue his professional career in the PSL.  Free State Stars were keen to have Shabalala in their ranks this season, although the proposed deal fell through after the two clubs failed to agree on terms.

According to sources in the know, Ezenkosi’s asking price exceeded want Ea Lla Koto were willing to pay to bring the player to the Bethlehem-based side. Soccer-Laduma has been informed that a figure in the region of R1.2 million was placed for the player’s signature.

Shabalala was part of the Cosmos squad that participated in the 2011/12 PSL campaign. He got relegated with the team after their dismal season.

If he was a "Top Class" player, we would've known about him. R1.2 million for a player playing in a sponsor-less league, and Jomo Cowsmos of all players. Mnxm! AKUNA BANTU APHA!!! #YOUNGEST BLOGGER ON S.L#

MICHAELMISUKI,this player is good versatile defender. At rightback or central defence, he cam do wonders. R1.2 million is even too little for this talent.
