Phala: All Thanks To Dikwena

Phala: All Thanks To Dikwena

By Soccer-Laduma - Jan 02, 2013 09:50 AM

Platinum Stars have been in great form this season and one of their players, Thuso Phala, is in the 23-man Bafana Bafana squad to do duty in the 2013 African Cup of Nations here in South Africa.

Phala told Soccer-Laduma that his presence and selection in the Bafana squad is purely because of Platinum Stars. He said that because Dikwena and coach Cavin Johnson gave him the chance to play, his form at the club has contributed to his inclusion in the team.

"I am happy. I can't even express my happiness right now. It is a dream come true for me. I have played for Amabeneplass before but I never thought I would play for Bafana Bafana. To be honest with you I am very happy. I have to thank Platinum Stars.

"They are the ones who have made this possible to me. Such tournaments come once and I thank God for blessing me with this chance to represent my country in such a great tournament," the former Mamelodi Sundowns player said.

After he was chucked away by both Chiefs and Sundowns he makes a comeback into the Bafana squad. Guess who will be running after him during the June 2013 tranfer window

Phala – who on Sunday was named in coach Gordon Igesund’s South African squad for the Africa Cup of Nations – is reportedly on the radar of his former club, Kaizer Chiefs
